Ive been kind of searching for inspiration lately....felling VERY creative but feeling the need to be pushed and to PUNCH...to be a little more brash and confrontational...to seek out beauty somewhere new and expose it.....
When i saw this i teared up and watched with my mouth agape.....its just what i needed to see...
Javier Perez presents "En Puntas"....where a ballet dancer deftly glides across a piano with butchers kives strapped to the tips of her point shoes...like a frustrated marionette she grunts and glides...she stabs and scratches....she SCREAMS....but never falls...and only seemingly falters...the beauty is painfully exquisite both in form and in empathy....imagining the pain it causes and the pain it expresses...its truly a beautiful moment trapped forever like a dragonfly in amber...So hold it up to the light and gaze at it....and hopefully it will bring you the joy and inspiration it did me!!!
